WHY SHOULD YOU MAKE YOUR STONE FLOOR SLIP RESISTANT?
Everyone, especially children and the elderly, are at risk of having a serious accident from slipping on wet stone floors.
The damage caused by these accidents are numerous, well-documented and unfortunately can have a fatal outcome.
You won’t have to worry about this once you make your floor slip resistant with Active Floor Technology
With our kit you safeguard against slipping accidents. It’s a perfect technique to increase safety in the bathroom, kitchen, entrance, or around the pool.
AFT’s slip securing is a permanent treatment and subsides only when the stone’s surface wears down.
HOW TO APPLY SLIP SECURE TREATMENT?
Turn off the floor heating and remove any debris from the surface which is to be treated. Clean the floor thoroughly with Universal SHS so that soap residue and dirt is removed, and any calcium deposits disappear. Repeat the treatment if necessary.
Rinse the floor with water.
Pour the bottle of SHS Slip Secure in a bucket and add an equal amount of water. Use a microfiber mop or sweep mop and apply the product onto the dry surface. Make sure the entire surface is kept moist throughout the process, ca. 60 minutes. No dry spots should occur during the process.
After 60 minutes rinse the floor with water and then allow it to dry. The surface can now be entered. Avoid re-placement of furniture for 24 hours. Avoid entering other surfaces with the shoes you used during treatment before you dry them.
NOTE! In black and glossy floors, a certain fatigue may occur. Please try a small test area and make your own own assessment.
Pour 1 part SHS Stone Soap and pour 1 part SHS Stone Soap and 5 parts water in a bucket, 1 cup soap stone is enough for ca. 10 sqm. Distribute the stone soap with a mop on the treated surface in a thin layer to restore the luster of the floor.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This could be caused by substandard cleaning of the surface prior to treatment. It is also important that any calcium deposits removed from the floor. Descale and clean the floor again and repeat the treatment process.
Either the pre treatment cleaning is substandard or you over scrubbed the floor during the treatment process. Try mopping the area. Calcium deposits can also be the reason, descale the floor and repeat the process.
Our treatment removes most of the old dirt which makes up the original color of the seam that usually gets brighter. The darker shades can be caused by old dirt that remains in the joints. This is easily remedied by cleaning the joints extra carefully, but wait at least a day before this fixed when the treatment process is still active, otherwise the structure of the floor will change.
